The limits of my family

Last night Joe and I went on a marvelous date. We drove to uptown Minneapolis and walked around had dinner and spent a while looking for this dance studio. When we got to the dance studio we found that they were not giving lessons so we decided just to stay and watch. Joe and I have decided to take Tango lessons. I love dancing and Joe had recently taken up tango right before he met me.

While we were in Uptown they were having the annual art fair. I love going to art fairs and looking at all the art and displays. I realized however that I could not go to something like this as a family. It would be way too much for Adam. Adam is doing much better staying with us when we go shopping at the mall but there are the occasions I lose him. I guess no more than a regular child as Kaitlyn has wandered away, actually bolted away from us. The stimulation would be too much for Adam with all the people, all the booths the sights and the sounds, smells. At the end of an art fair trip I know that I would be exhausted from keeping track of him and it wouldn't be worth it and not a fun day. So I guess until he is older, I will have to get a babysitter, go on my own or just not go. And it is ok. I would rather have my family time enjoyable for everyone.
