I am scared to post this.....

as I know the many political and spiritual views of those who read this. As I hesitated to post this blog I worried as one that my friends will see me in a different light and "not like me." I realized after a few moments how shallow this thought was and realized the difference in opinions make the world such a rich place. I value the differences in my friends and no matter our choices it doesn't take away from who I am because I believe differently. How different the world would be if we were all the same...actually boring. I never push how I feel on others nor argue about how they feel as it is interesting just to hear their views...but I never share mine. I stay in protecting mine views as sacred not sharing them as I don't want to be hurt. I am at the spot of SO WHAT....so we disagree...it is not going to be the end. I guess it comes down to my family. We are a very argumentative group. My Dad can't be wrong. He has the memory of a hawk and getting into an argument is sometimes fruitless because we get hung up on the small details of an issue. I love him and I accept him. We were the family of debaters and that is the way we act when we are together. So when I know I don't agree I have found it easier to keep my mouth shut.

So I guess I better get to my point. I admit it....if I hadn't screwed up my license I would have voted for Obama. YIKES....a Catholic voting for a pro-choicer??? How un-catholic! I know but I think voting for the platform of only whether they are pro-choice or pro-life is so limiting. I am finding myself becoming more and more of a Libetarian rather than what I consider my self as a Democrat. Here is the way I feel on the pro-life/pro-choice. My dad was speaking to his spiritual advisor a few years back. She told him that she was pro-choice. Pro-choice to have the choice...However, my views tend to be radical in some sense and getting there more and more. I believe God graced us with the ability to make a choice for a reason. It is not my place to judge or to be judged here on Earth. God's love is so tremendous that he loves us and also loves the unborn. No it isn't right that we take lives and I choose for myself pro-life as I consider life very precious and I don't want that blood on my hands. I cannot control the rest of the world...I can say to one my views...but it is in fact it is their choice. I feel the same when it comes to Gay rights. Who am I to say what is right and not? I believe people have their choice over their lives. I have chosen the hetrosexual lifestyle which is right for me...but maybe not for others. I have learned in the last year several of my dear friends who have, since I have seen them last, chosen a partner of the same sex. They are happy and I am happy for them. I am not going to deny them happiness or the rights I have because of my choice. Do I want this kind of lifestyle for my children....no...but I want them to be loving people to all. How did Jesus act with the lepers and those outcasts? He was there among bringing the message of love and God. Not condeming them for a life they are biologically living as. It is hard for me to understand why they have chosen....but just like me and the life choices I have made...I have to live with them. Will I be judged by God for divorcing my husband....I don't know...but God is the one who truly knows what is in my heart. Everyone has a choice and is well informed of the consequences....but my path is where I feel love and it is the road I have chosen. Again, I know many of you may disagree...but it is what makes each one of us special and decorated in God's love.
